Home Coming Weekend - The Band ShowDown
Reporter:     Miss Trini

Ok...well just so you know the Bar-b-que was good. I missed one though, but I had enough food for Sunday. The football game was nice, had no idea whether we won or not when I left, but I heard we did. When I got to the game I was messing with my friend, so I was like ''why are those guys chasing each other and piling up on the one guy?''

Lol! He actually took me serious and was answering me. ''It's american footbal!'' Honestly...I think the game is violent. A couple times, when you could see them about to floor someone I was like....ooooh!  ooow! That look painful! But the biggest hype was all for the band. The University bands were great. We played Nofolk state. Of course in addition to the main event, the band at half time, there was the game and the cheerleaders, the normal ones and the ''Elite Dancers; and the mascots who got into a fight, and the Frat guys chanting.

The BAND

Traffic on the weekend was a ''hot mess''! \(The present slang\). And the police were acting up. Got me some beads at the game and did not have to flah anyone to get them. The Frat guys were advertising Borbon Street \(reminiscent of New Orleans\), which was the big party scene for the weekend.
And the waves at the stadium were pretty good. We did the equivalent of the matrix wave in slow motion, the tsunami waves and the reversed waves that went around the stadium several times. People were pretty hyped and like everyone participated. Wish I had a video camera for that.

Football

Just a quick point to note. I don't understand why we all the way in October and the temperature is like 19 deg C and going down to 7deg C tonight. This morning I went outside to go throw the garbage, and by the time I got outside I refused to turn around and go get a jacket. On my way back from
the dumpster I could feel my hands getting icy cold cause the wind was blowing so strong, it increased the chill factor.Oooh!

Today I made sure I caught the bus, cause I was not about to do the 10-15 min walk in this weather.I actually got good practice in layering clothes today. \(Well only on my top half!\) I had on a top, then a sweater and then a jacket. Felt good. It was like walking around with a blanky. I need to work
on getting some gloves though. My hands were freezing. Yeah and I know the people from up north want to know what we freaking about. Well coming from
the land of 33 deg C...mhm....we FEEL the differance. I am thinking if the
weather keeps up I might try the winter jacket tomorrow and see how it
works.
